Film and TV writers have been on strike for about a month now and are now mulling a new contract offer from Hollywood Studios. The offer that was dubbed "New Economic Partnership" would pay writer millions of dollars for their work shown over the internet. The writers called a recess till Tuesday to consider their options, but have called on member to continue picketing Friday and Monday.

Condoleezza Gay?

National Enquirer published an article headlined "Whos Gay, Who not" with Condoleezza Rice's face on the front. The article brought back long forgotten controversy over her sexuality. The article sparked a flurry of internet chatter about her high profile position in a Republican administration regarded as hostile to gays.
Hillary vs Richardson
Democratic presidential candidates butted heads on whether illegle immigrants should be able to obtain drivers licenses. New York Sen. Hillary Clinton and New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson were split on licensing illegal immigrants, an issue that tripped Clinton up during a previous debate.

Iraqi Lawmakers
Dozens of Iraqi Lawmakers stomped out of parliament on Wednesday to protest their views of the U.S. soldiers being overly humiliating and aggressive. Legislators like everyone else have to go through a series of physical searches before they can enter the Green Zone. These searches include bomb sniffing dogs checking everything from them to their vehicles, they must line up and be searched several times before they can enter, but it seems to be working. U.S. officials say that the violence in Baghdad has decreased.

Bush vs AIDS
U.S. President George W. Bush on Friday stressed the role of faith-based groups in the fight against AIDS. Bush spoke in the Calvary Methodist Church after meeting with religious and community groups representatives. Bush has asked congress for an additional $15 billion to expand the Presidents Emergency Plan for AIDS Releif, a program that has already been approved by congress after he announced it in his 2003 State of the Union address.

Sean Taylor Shooting
Jason Mitchell, 19, the fourth man charged in the shooting of Sean Taylor was denied bond like the rest of them on Sunday. The four men have all been charged with unpremeditated murder, armed burglary and home invasion with a firearm or another deadly weapon. Mitchell and Rivera, two of the four men charged, admitted to participating in the burglary. They said that someone did have a gun but did not identify who.
